Make Excel VBA Loops EASY With The Loop Blueprints (MM LITE #5)

Would you trust a builder without plans?

There’s no doubt about it, loops in Excel VBA are difficult.  I’ve tied myself in knots many times, and perhaps you have too.  We’ve all been stuck in an endless loop at least once – both literally and figuratively!

It’s a shame, because so many Excel VBA beginners give up on loops too early.  The result: they never experience the transformational effect loops can have on analytical work.  The basic idea of repeating instructions any number of times is, quite simply, the most powerful concept in Excel VBA – and probably in computer programming, too.  Don’t miss out!

So, how can we stay on the right track?  Well, you wouldn’t trust a builder without plans, would you?  A builder has an idea in their mind, a plan – or ‘blueprint’.  Once that you realise the main syntax in Excel VBA loops is repeated time and again, you can internalise the basic structures, and roll them out as needed, without too much hassle (hopefully!)

In today’s video, I share my blueprint for Excel VBA’s ‘For-Next’ loop.  Things get a lot easier when you understand the main features are always in the same.  In fact, as I explain in the video, the basic structure of a For-Next loop comprises just three (yes, three) lines of code.  Think how that might simplify things for you, and allow you to unlock the power of loops …

As always, the download file is available.  So make sure you at least grab that so you have a blueprint you can refer to from now on.

This session is from our Members’ Monday Excel learning community.  If you like Tiger’s approach to Excel learning, you’ll love our unique programme for those who want to improve their analytical skills in a supportive environment with like-minded people.

The MM taster area features a free one-hour sample session from the MM community – I hope you enjoy it!
